In a case decided December 27, 2021 in Las Vegas, Nevada, a woman (who is a Southwest Airlines employee) sued the government and a specific IRS agent for supposedly violating her fourth, fifth, 13th and 14th amendment rights when her employer withheld taxes from her paycheck at the direction of the IRS. They did this because she sent them letters informing them that she is exempt from paying taxes because she is a sovereign citizen.
She referred to herself as a legal “non-taxpayer” and didn’t pay taxes for at least two years.
In the end, she lost. The court rejected her claims and dismissed the motion. Case closed.
Yet another loss for the sovereign citizen movement.
