A man by the name of Matt Christopher attempted to claim land outside a village on the (incorrect) basis that it can be claimed “under a freehold”- as long as the applicant has built a house on the land overnight.
He calls himself ‘King Arthwys.’ This tactic did not work and he was placed on a community protection notice by the authorities on January 9, 2022.
He appealed the notice and he was supposed to have a hearing in court on May 30, 2022. He did not show up and his appeal was thrown out.
The only other information available is that he will be in court on June 20, 2022 on a separate matter and it sounds as though he will be at that hearing.
