Sovereign Citizen Gets Arrested, Sends Police Complaints

Mr. Marcus Cannon was arrested by Racine police officers in Wisconsin for use of a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct in relation to an incident involving a gun. Allegedly, a crew of people was removing snow from sidewalks when Mr. Cannon allegedly began demanding that they get off his property and then threatened them with the gun. He said that he was a “sovereign citizen” and doesn’t want anyone taking his property away from him.

In response to the arrest, Mr. Cannon sent the police a number of court documents in an effort to solidify his sovereign citizen-hood. Here’s one example:

He also included this next document which is fairly lengthy as one of his “exhibits.”

The document, among other things, argues against the jurisdiction and power of the judicial authority and in fact, argues that jurisdiction has been revoked.

He also wants to make it clear that he is not a minor which he defines as an individual under the age of 18. Also mentioned are the Bill of Rights, quite a lot about an infant’s property interests, birth certificates, and frankly all sorts of other things that seem to have no merit or even relation to the case whatsoever.

These materials were only just submitted yesterday and I imagine that they will eventually be dismissed by the court.

I will update if and when an one becomes available.
