Australian Sovereign Citizen No Show For Court, Says She Traumatized

She started a police chase that turned into into a two-hour standoff and now says it traumatized her.

“On Tuesday, and via email, Solange Goodes asked the Adelaide Magistrates Court to excuse her non-attendance on charges arising from an incident at her Sandy Creek property in September…Due to the arrest and my overnight stay in the cells, I’m so traumatised and not well enough to attend court.”

She was facing charges of assaulting and hindering police but those have been downgraded. Next court appearance is mandated for April. If she does not appear, an arrest warrant will be activated.

IMHO, it’s a mistake to downgrade these charges. Not taking sovereign citizen behavior seriously only serves to encourage more of it and helps it to spread. This kind of behavior should not be taken lightly.
