This incident involves Antonio Meruddu who was pulled over Oct 23, 2021 in an uninsured vehicle, having a false regulation mark and failing to provide information to the authorities.
You might remember that Meruddu was involved in the high-profile case of removing Joe McCarron from a hospital when he was gravely ill with COVID-19. McCarron later succumbed to the illness. You can learn more about the case here.
In court, Meruddu tried what many sovereigns try which is to challenge court jurisdiction, and refused legal counsel deciding instead to represent himself.
“Meruddu reiterated that he was not giving the court consent to try him. “I am the king, you are the public servant,” he said before leaving the courtroom.”
He is scheduled to be back in court December 13, 2021 and further charges may be added.
Sovereign citizen ideology does not work in any court so good luck with that strategy.
