34-year-old Cameron Robert McKay appeared in the ACT Magistrates Court Friday July 29, 2022 after being accused of assaulting a 67-year old woman earlier this year.
From the start, he was defiant. Special Magistrate Margaret Hunter had to repeatedly ask him to confirm his name and yelled when he would not stop talking.
“You may call me Cameron Robert of the House McKay,” Mr McKay finally said.
“I’m not a person or persons. I’m under duress right now.”
“You are not under duress, you are under arrest,” Special Magistrate Hunter snapped back” eventually calling him an “idiot.”
In court documents he changed his name to “Cameron Robert of the McKay House” noting that “I’m a living man, that’s my truth. I’m not a persona…”
Despite engaging in sovereign citizen tactics, he states that he is not, a common theme among sovereigns.
